ππβ¨ A Calm Evening at Marine North Berwick β¨ππ
I spent the evening at the stunning 5-star luxury Marine North Berwick in East Lothian πΏπ β a beautiful coastal hotel overlooking the sea πβ¨and it was honestly such a peaceful, grounding experience πποΈ
πβ¨ The sea views were absolutely stunning β and the whole atmosphere felt made for slowing down, sitting still, and just watching the water without any pressure or overstimulation. It genuinely felt like the hotel was designed around the views ππ

Everything about the atmosphere felt incredibly refined β calm, respectful, and unhurried ποΈβ¨ It carried this beautiful old school charm, where time felt slower, and you were simply given space to exist without interruption or pressure π πΈ
The atmosphere felt like the sea outside πβ¨ β calm, steady, and unhurried, with a gentle rhythmic flow, like waves moving in their own time, setting the pace for everything around it ππ

In my case, that meant a glass (or two ππΎβ¨) of perfectly chilled prosecco π₯π, because honestlyβ¦ the view deserved something a little more elevated than coffee or tea πβ¨
It was also right next to the golf course β³π and had its own luxury spa π«§β¨ which I am now officially desperate to visit one day πββοΈπ

The main clientele felt like a mix of golfers and people there purely for complete, total relaxation β and it had that quiet, high-end atmosphere, with beautifully maintained spaces that reflected that level of luxury πβ¨
As an autistic woman ππ§©π, feeling safe and comfortable in public spaces really mattered to me. I could be quite sensitive to noise, pressure, and social intensity, so environments like this felt especially meaningful because they allowed me to relax fully, without needing to mask or stay on guard πΈποΈ

There was also a really lovely moment while I was there β an older gentleman came in who was so proud of his golf clubs β³β¨ He spent ages talking to me about every detail of each club, clearly so passionate and happy to be there sharing it ππ¬ I didnβt know much about golf myself, but I could see how much it meant to him, so I just smiled, listened, and made sure he felt heard ποΈπ
If youβre autistic like me and ever in Edinburgh ππ, feel free to message me β Iβd honestly love to meet for a glass of wine there sometime π·β¨π
It was just a really beautiful, calm eveningβ¦ the kind that made my nervous system quietly settle πΏποΈπβ¨
